This book was about a boy called Magnus Chase who dies on earth to a fire giant he then gets sent to an afterlife world called Valhalla. He went to this place as he died a heroic death. In this place he is told that he was wrongly chosen and this is the story of how while his life is going rapidly downhill, he also somehow has to delay Ragnarok by finding his father's sword who he finds out is a God. This book is very fast paced and I could not recommend it more to you if you love this action packed fast paced books.

I love this book it is very funny, very silly and all round a great book .It is a fantastic book for people who are not that into reading. It is about two boys who write books and give them to the publisher but they have a few twists and turns along the way. A few examples of their twists and turns are when the boys are getting distracted by an active volcano to toast their marshmallows and jet propelled chairs.   No ughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman Noughts and crosses are the story of Sephy and Callum who were deeply in love however the only thing separating them is that Callum was a white lower-class Noughts citizen and  Sephy was a black higher-class cross citizen. This story tells you about the struggle they were facing because they are of different ethnicities, which unfortunately led them to live two  different separates lives. Malorie Blackman wrote this book and purposely did not specify which country it was in to  show that Racism is all over the world. Overall, in my opinion, I would give this book a 9.5/10 because It left me on urge to find out  what was going to happen next. I would recommend this book for all aged 12 and up.
